Magic Kingdom –

This one obviously makes the list because its where dreams come true! I’ll admit this year was the first time I’ve ever been to Magic Kingdom but it truly is a magical place and fun for everyone in the family. There is so much to do and so much to see! Your children’s favorite movies and shows are brought to life directly in front of their eyes and they get to be up close and personal.

Animal kingdom –

I absolutely loved Animal Kingdom when we visited this spring and I would actually recommend it over Magic Kingdom if your looking for something a little bit more laid back. Make sure you check out both the Nemo themed show and the Lion King which were both incredible! One of my favorite parts of Animal Kingdom is that there are times through out the day where you can meet some of your favorite Disney Characters like Mickey and Minnie.

Sea World –

Rides, animals and some other awesome attractions! Of course one of our favorite parts of Sea World was seeing the whales perform and getting to see all the other animals. Hunter really enjoyed cooling off in the kids splash area and getting to see the bears.

Legoland –

if you have a lego lover in your family then Legoland is might be the perfect theme park destination for your family. With two locations in the US; Winter Have, FL and Carlsbad, CA Legoland is jam packed with Lego statues and activities. Make sure to check out Miniland USA! They also have a lot of great rides that are geared towards smaller children. However if you do decide to visit Legoland I would recommend waiting till you can get a discount pass as their prices are a bit steep. Also keep in mind that a lot of their rides aren’t for children under 36 inches.

Santa’s Village – 

Santa’s Village isn’t your typical theme park but its definitely geared towards the younger crowd. Toddlers and holiday lovers will definitely enjoy this Christmas themed theme park. You can ride a reindeer on the carousel, sit on Santa’s lap, Ride Santa’s Express train, feed a real life reindeer and more.

Sesame Place – 

Sesame Place located in Langhorne, PA is the perfect place to visit with your little Sesame Street fan. Sesame Place has tons of water rides like Big Bird’s Rambling River and Sesame Streak. There is also a ton of dry rides like Big Bird’s Balloon Race and Elmo’s World. The park also has a ton of shows, parades and opportunity’s to meet your kids favorite Sesame Street character!

The Upside Of Single Parenting

People always talk aout the down sides of being a single parent and although I’ll admit there are some like having to deal with a parent you may not get along with, financial struggles, child support issues and the genral stress that comes from being a parent. Add on top of all of that the extra stress that comes with being a single parent and you sometimes forget to think about the good because we get so caught up in everything else. Being a single parent doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it doesn’t have to be negative and truthly there are a lot of upsides to being a single parent……

The Upsides Of Being A Single Parent

1. There’s Nobody To Fight With – Okay technically this isn’t completly true but when the other person doesn’t live with you its a lot easier to just put the phone down and turn off all the lights if you don’t want to deal with them.

2. You Get The Final Say – At least where my son is involved this is true. I have sole legal and physically custody of him so desicions regarding his well being are in the end my desicion to make.

3. There’s No “But dad said” – I’m sure everyones dealt with this at least once or twice but I can say that I never have more or less because my son doesn’t have a relationship with his dad. What I say goes….

4. Knowing I did It On My Own – Knowing that I can and am raising an amazing little boy on my own.

5. Being In Control Of My Own Money – There may never be enough but at the end of the month if the money that is supposed to be there isn’t the only one i have to blame is myself!

6. More Quality Time – 

7. I know My Son Better Then Anyone – I’m the one who has been there since day one. I know his likes, his dislikes, the face he makes when he doesn’t feel good and when he’s pulling my leg. I know him better then anyone else.

8. I Get To Decide How He Will Be Raised – And I sure as hell am raising a loving, open and happy little boy.

The thing is I could sit here all night and list the upsides of being a single parent but the truth is I’ve never really looked at it as there being a downside. I’m proud of the mother that I am and I’m even prouder knowing that I can do it on my own. I love my little boy, I love the independence that we share and I can’t imagine life any other way.

Get UNJUNKED With UNREAL Candy For Halloween

I’m a complete candy addict and can constantly be found munching down on peanut butter cups or some sort of candy bar. As much as i love candy though I’m also still very concerned about the things that my son and i eat and am always on the lookout for a healthy alternative.

This weekend I got the opportunity to try out and host an UNREAL candy party with some friends and family. If you’re unfamiliar with UNREAL candy let me bring you up to speed. UNREAL candy comes in five flavors and are made without using corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.  Awesome, right?! The five flavors UNREAL candy comes in are Unreal 5 (UNREAL version of Milky Way), UNREAL 41 (UNREAL version of M&Ms), UNREAL 8 (UNREAL version of Snickers) and UNREAL 77 (UNREAL version of Reese’s Cups). I received one large box of each along with gift bags to share with my party guests.

After putting the goody bags together with my sister and whipping up some Taco Dip(Get The Recipe Here) we sat back and waited for our guests to arrive. I had a hard time keeping out of the candy while we waited but I somehow managed. 

I had invited a few co-workers over to taste the candy as well as gave out a few goodie bags to my mom and stepfather who were unable to attend. The general consensus in the house was that everyone really loved the Peanut Butter cups and had a hard time believing that they were UNJUNKED! Another one that my guests really enjoyed were the UNREAL 41 and the UNREAL 8! By the end of the night not only were all of the candy bags gone but our tasting bowl was also very near empty!

Prices compare with those of well known brands so pick up a bunch and hand it out on October 31st and know that you’re making Halloween a little healthier!
